TERA: Lancer Guide || Tanking Guide Part 2B ||

This is a lancer guide. I'm not very experienced with this class, which is why I relied heavily written guides made by more experienced lancers. The links are below of course. "nice work putting effort into this guide! here are some note additions:
2:50 - Combo Attack also moves you forward. When you Combo Attack into Stand Fast, you quickly move forward. This is faster than manually walking in battle. This technique is called Skating and is very helpful. Shield Barrage and Lockdown Blow are also skills that move you forward.
3:00 - Stand Fast also reduces damage from many attacks for people close (behind) you. I know it's in the skill description but it wasn't mentioned in the narration. This is essential for tanking Killing Grounds at 1% HP
6:50 - Guardian Barrier will cause you to stagger if you block an attack that can't be i-framed. To prevent this stagger, use Rallying Cry first beforehand for that 5 second buff of stagger immunity
8:50 - Rallying Cry is certainly not useless in PvE! Plenty of bosses' attacks can cause you to stagger, be knocked down / up / back. Using this prior to an attack that afflicts those will really help, especially in case your healer's skill is on cooldown. And as mentioned above, using this before using Guardian Barrier prevents stagger.
15:50 - Glyphs. It's also worth mentioning both of Shield Counter's glyphs are very helpful especially for new lancers. It helps with aggro generation and RE regeneration. If you need points for those, dropping points from Lockdown Blow or Charging Lunge can be done
