It is based on Authorization and Authentication. Let’s Discuss Authorization and Authentication first:
Authentication
Authentication is like proving who you are. Imagine you have a secret club, and there's a special secret handshake that only members know. When you want to enter the club, you need to do this secret handshake to prove that you're really a member. In the digital world, authentication is similar. It's the process of confirming your identity, like using a password, fingerprint, or face recognition to access your email or social media account. It ensures that only the right people can get in.
Authorization
Authorization is like deciding what you can do once you're inside the club. Let's say you've successfully proven that you're a member by doing the secret handshake. Now, the club has different areas, and some areas are off-limits to certain members. Authorization is like giving you a special card that says which parts of the club you're allowed to enter. For example, you might have access to the dance floor but not the VIP lounge. In the digital world, authorization controls what actions you can take once you're logged in, like whether you can post, edit, or delete content on a website.

So, in simple terms:

Authentication is about proving who you are.
Authorization is about deciding what you're allowed to do once you're in
