Currently working as a engineer at Sun Microsystems on the Java Swing Team. There where I am working on JTable, Synth, Nimbus Look & Feel and various Java One talks. Prior to working at Sun I was working on a Java photo management application called Imagery for my own company Xerto. Imagery is a powerful piece of software for helping professionals manage large digital image collections. Built in Java with support for huge collections of hundreds of thousands of images and P2P server-less replicated collaboration.
Richard Bair
Richard Bair is an application developer with over 7 years experience in writing SQL database front ends. Four of those years were devoted to writing Java applications based on Swing and JDBC. He is currently tasked with working on the back-end components in JDNC for communicating with various data stores such as RDBMS systems, web services, and EJB servers, as well as working on Swing components and general JDNC project management. He joined Sun Microsystems in November of 2004 as a member of the Swing team, working full time on the JDNC project.
Nandini Ramani
Nandini Ramani is vice president of engineering, Java client, and mobile platforms at Oracle. Her current focus includes driving JavaFX and the client platform and tools for Java, JavaME, and Java Card.
Ramani has a long history of creating innovation and futures at Sun Microsystems. She has been actively involved in JavaFX since its inception in 2007, and launched the platform and tools.
Prior to joining the client group, Ramani worked in the Office of the Software CTO, driving the emerging technologies group for incubation projects. Having worked in the hardware architecture and simulation team in the Accelerated Graphics group as well as the graphics and media team for JavaME, her background includes both hardware and software. Ramani was involved in the development of XML standards as co-chair of the W3C Scalable Vector Graphics working group, and as a member of the W3C Compound Document Formats working group. She was also a member of several graphics- and UI-related expert groups in the Java Community Process.
