How to Get Help Debugging my Tutorials смотреть онлайн

This video is for everyone out there stuck on one of my tutorials, wondering how to get help. To skip to the uploading to github part of this video, skip to 7:42 in this video.

You want to follow these steps:

1) Post a YouTube Comment on the associated video
2) Post on Stackoverflow.com
3) Email me with your code uploaded to GitHub

Post a Youtube Comment:
Make sure to find the video where you are most likely having the problem with or where you are stuck. By posting on youtube you are helping other people that might have the same problem see a solution and giving them help as well.

Post on StackOverflow:
Stack Overflow is a site built specifically to help developers that are stuck on code. You can post code on this site and people will reply back with answers within about 15 minutes or less usually. You can enhance your answers by giving a bounty, but you need to build up your reputation first. Once you get help on Stack Overflow you should paste the link with your question and the answer into the YouTube comments so other people can find it.

If you follow someone's link to their stack overflow post and you found it helpful, be sure to thank them by upvoting their question on stack overflow because it gives them improved reputation as well. Lets help eachother out!

As a last resort, when nothing else works, then you can email me your question and I will try to help you. I can't make any quarantees but I will surely try. The best way to allow me to easily debug your problem is to post your code onto github and send me a link to the github where your code is. This allows me to explore your code and find the error. It formats the code easily and it also allows me to see all of it, in case the problem is somewhere that you don't suspect.

--- STEPS TO UPLOAD CODE TO GITHUB ---

Make sure you have git installed on your computer. To see if you have it installed, open up your terminal or command line and type "git" and hit enter. If you get an error then you need to install git first. If you get a help message with how to use git then it means it is already installed.

Once you have git installed you want to navigate into your project file so you are at the top of the folder.

In a web browser navigate to github.com and login and click "New Repository". Give your repo a name and make sure it is set to "public".

You will see step by step how to create and upload your code onto github, but i will add my modified instructions here. Make sure you are typing these commands into the terminal and your terminal is currently in the project folder that you wish to upload to github:

1. git init
2. git add .
3. git commit -m "Initial Commit"
4. git remote add origin [grab this url from the github page]
5. git push -u origin master

Now refresh the page and email me the link.
