if you're wondering why you have to use an old version of julti (latest right now is 0.22.0) it's because state output isn't legalized.

What is state output you may ask? Well it's a mod that outputs the world loading state to a file in the minecraft directory. macros can take advantage of that information. the world loading progress is still visible in the vanilla logs but it's worse or more annoying to deal with or something idk. because of this, julti requires state output in versions released after 0.18.0. why can't we just use state output then? IT'S NOT ALLOWED!! well why would julti require it then? because state output's functionality is entirely contained within another mod, world preview, that is allowed. world preview shows you the world while it's still loading, and allows you to reset much faster in random seed categories. in set seed categories this obviously doesn't matter since you already know what the seed looks like. why don't we just use world preview anyways then? the problem is that world preview makes the game choose the players spawn earlier than it normally does, and that conflicts with another mod, set spawn, which changes the spawning code too. set spawn is used exclusively in set seed categories, and world preview is used in exclusively random seed categories, so they weren't made compatible. state output is the one part of world preview that set seed players would care about, so it was made into its own mod, and removed from world preview. this happened almost three months ago. the minecraft speedrun.com moderation team has been silent on this, and it's just made ssg runners' life a little bit more annoying. to be clear i don't have anything against julti's developer duncan, i would have made the same decision, since state output SHOULD BE LEGALIZED.
