Introduction to Python-Installation of Anaconda and Spyder IDE for Python
Why Anaconda?
Anaconda is a distribution of packages built for data science.
Anaconda have lots of preinstalled Python Libraries for Data Science.
Anaconda also having many tools which are very much helpful for Data Science and Machine Learning, with a short and simple setups.
The ‘conda’ package manager helps create and manage the Packages and Environment and so as to isolate different libraries and versions.
Why Spyder?
Spyder is an open source and cross platform IDE.
It is otherwise called as Scientific Python Development IDE, and developed by python.
Spyder is very simple and we can easily develop our python project for Data Science and Machine Learning.
The important features of Spyder IDE are listed below
Developer Friendly - Easy to write commands
Syntax highlighting.
Availability of breakpoints for debugging and conditional.
Interactive execution allows to run the lines, files, cells and etc.
Run configurations for working directory selection, command line options, current or dedicated external console and etc. It can also clear variables automatically.
Navigation through cells, functions, blocks and etc. can be achieved through the outline explorer
Realtime code introspection is used to examine the function, keywords and classes, and what they are doing and what information they contain.
Automatic colon insertion after if, while and etc.
Spyder IDE is also having Help, file explorer and find files, etc.
Implementation of Anaconda
Go to Anaconda Website : https://www.anaconda.com
Select the Individual Edition form Products menu
Click on the Download option
Choose the version which is suitable to your OS.
Complete the Setup and click Finish.
Launch Spider form Anaconda Navigator.
