RPG-32

The RPG-32 is a Russian anti-tank rocket launcher. Sometimes it is nicknamed the "Barkaz". This weapon was developed specially for export. It is a reloadable weapon of new design that can fire different rockets. Generally it is unrelated to the previous RPG- series weapons, though it uses rockets of similar design. The RPG-32 is one of the deadliest anti-tank rocket launchers used today. It is used by Iraq, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, and possibly some other countries. This weapon is license-produced in Jordan by Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems company from Russian-supplied kits. Production facility was opened in Jordan in 2013. Jordanian version was initially known as Hashim, however the name was later changed to Nash Shab (archer). In 2016 the RPG-32 saw action in Yemen. However the RPG-32 was not adopted by the Russian Army. Instead the Russian Army selected for production an RPG-30, which is a single-use weapon and could be somewhat more efficient against active protection systems.

This anti-tank rocket launcher consists of a reloadable launcher unit and launch tubes with single-use rockets. The rockets are factory fitted into sealed launch tubes. The RPG-32 fires 105 mm and 72 mm rockets. These RPG-32-specific rounds aren't interchangeable with other RPG-type launchers.

The RPG-32 fires a powerful 105 mm PG-32V rocket, which has a tandem HEAT warhead. A precursor charge is used to defeat Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA). This rocket penetrates 650 mm of rolled homogenous armor behind ERA, or at least 750 mm without ERA. This anti-tank rocket is capable of disabling the latest and most protected Western main battle tanks, such as American M1A2 Abrams, British Challenger 2 and German Leopard 2A7. It penetrates frontal armor of Russian T-90 and T-80U, as well as Chinese Type 99 and Type 96 main battle tanks. This rocket is also useful against all other armored vehicles, as well as bunkers, buildings and various field fortifications. It penetrates at least 1.5 m of reinforced concrete, at least 2 m of brickwork, and at least 3.7 m of earth.

There is also a TBG-32V round with thermobaric warhead. It is a specialized munition for use against buildings, field fortifications, entrenched infantry, soft skinned and lightly armored vehicles.

Different rockets can be used to engage different targets, so the RPG-32 is a rather versatile weapon. Both 105 mm and 72 mm rockets have similar ballistics. This feature allows to use the same sights for different rockets. The launcher can mount an optical sight. The RPG-32 has a sighting range of 700 meters, though effective range of fire is up to 350 meters. In terms of range it outperforms many older Russian anti-tank rocket launchers, such as the RPG-7. The RPG-32 also has a slight edge over Russian single-use anti-tank rocket launchers, such as RPG-27, RPG-28 and RPG-30, that accurate out to 200-300 meters.

The RPG-32 has a back-blast area of at least 30 meters. Still though this weapon can be used inside buildings.

The RPG-32 is an easy to use weapon. With a little training one man in every squad could carry one of these rocket launchers, giving each squad significant anti-armor and anti-structure capability. The RPG-32 is carried by two soldiers: an operator and his assistant huffing extra rockets. Two rockets can be clamped together for easier transportation. It takes 10 seconds for the operator to prepare the RPG-32 for firing. Maximum rate of fire is up to 3 to 4 launches per minute.

In 2015 Jordanian company Jadara Equipment and Defense Systems introduced several versions of remotely-controlled weapon stations, armed with four RPG-32 launchers. A Quad-1 is a tripod mounted system, while the Quad-2 is a vehicle-mounted system.
