Spectral vs. Generation [PS2] - play as Hiro 2

This is a playthrough using Hiro 2 in the PS2 version of Spectral vs. Generation. Read on below for more information...

Hiro 2 is a hidden character in the game, and she is an unlockable playable character.

===== HOW TO UNLOCK HIRO 2 =====

On the character select, highlight regular Hiro and input the following:

[START], Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, [START]

If you've done it correctly, you're hear a sound and Hiro 2's icon will appear above regular Hiro.

Key: [S] = any Slash; [K] = Kick; [HS] = Heavy Slash

===== ABOUT HIRO 2 =====

Despite being an alternative version of the regular Hiro, her gameplay and moves are very different that it almost makes her a completely different character to play as. Graphically-wise, her in-gameplay sprites mostly feature her with the shorter hair, you get to see her long hair (as depicted in her portrait image) as a "flame" effect when she is in her neutral stance or crouching. Saves IGS the time of having to redraw every sprite/frame you see.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====

---- The command does not unlock her permanently. You'll need to keep inputting the command every time you enter the character select screen (besides continuing in single-player Arcade mode) if you want to select her.

---- In single-player Arcade mode, if you choose Hiro 2 as your character and lose and decide to continue, you'll find that when you head back to the character select screen, Hiro 2 will be highlighted - but her icon image will not be there. If you move the cursor away, you'll need to input the command again to select her.

===== ABOUT SPECTRAL VS GENERATION =====

The game is developed by IGS (International Games System), who are also the developers of Martial Masters and The Killing Blade. In the case of the PS2 version of Spectral Vs Generation, it seems that the game was developed by Idea Factory for IGS, or it could be developed by both. I cannot confirm this. Idea Factory is supposedly established by former Data East employees.

The game's characters and stories are based on Idea Factory's RPG game franchises (of the same "Spectral" AND "Generation" names). Therefore, the whole game has a heavy "JRPG" feel to it.

The general gameplay is very similar to the Guilty Gear X/XX series... it features chain combos, strict air combos and even the button system is almost identical. One of the unique gameplay elements is the Seal Of Time... this is a move where you can activate during a specific special move, when activated it basically puts your opponent into slow-motion, meaning that if he/she is falling, there is a good opportunity for a juggle.

Graphically-wise, the PS2 version of the game appears to be arcade-perfect, with the added bonus of using an Arranged/Remixed soundtrack.
