Mass Airflow Sensor Circuit Continuity Monitoring (short circuit)
Description:
This diagnostic function monitors for circuit continuity malfunction by comparing the MAF sensor signal period duration to the upper calibrated threshold value and to the lower calibrated threshold value to detect an intermitted contact.A short circuit malfunction is detected when the period duration equals 0. When the MAF sensor signal period duration equals 0 for a calibrated period of time,a short circuit malfunction is detected and an the DTC P0100 set.
