Android Application Security

With more and more functionalities used on our mobile devices, security and privacy become topics of great importance.Security thus becomes a crucial part of the development process for applications of various categories (including, but not limited to finance, commerce, social…)
This session aims at giving a concise overview of the design and implementation of a secure Android app.
We'll start the session with an overview of the Android security architecture. Once the base of the Android security model is explained, we'll dive into securing Android applications from a developers perspective.
We will discuss:- Permissions- Component security and secure inter-component interactions- Encryption of stored data- Secure back-end communication- Obfuscation- Testing the security of your application
Attendees can walk away from this talk with a solid understanding of Android application security and knowledge about several application-security best practices.
