Variables and Data Types in Python

Variables are perhaps the smallest component while writing an executable code or program.It can be used for various data types, but python being a complete object oriented language doesn't require declaration of datatype while using variables. In this video, I will show you how to use variables and datatypes in python.

Python is high-level programming language for supporting multiple programming paradigms which includes object-oriented, imperative, functional and procedural. The idea behind its simplistic design is to make the code more readable. Python can serve as a scripting language for web applications. It has automatic memory management and uses dynamic typing. The compact modularity has made it particularly popular as a means of adding programmable interfaces to existing applications. Python’s large standard library is one of its greatest strengths. Libraries such as NumPy, SciPy and Matplotlib allows the use of python in scientific computing. Python’s source code is easy to maintain. It runs on wide variety of hardware platforms. Low-level modules can be added to python interpreter. It can also be compiled to byte-code for building large applications. It provides interfaces to all the major commercial databases. Like Perl, Python source code is now available under the GNU General Public License(GPL). It provides high level dynamic data types and supports dynamic type checking.
