The Address Correction Software for Excel is a tool that allows for the validation and correction of mailing addresses and cleanses the addresses in a USPS approved format.

Happy monday and as every week I want to introduce you to my latest tool which is the address correction software in excel.

If you have seen some ofmy other videos, all my software is in Excel and my goal is to build software that is extremely easy to use, built solely in Excel and marry the power of Google Maps or other API powerhouses with the versatility and functionality and ease of use of excel.

And this tool does exactly this. The purpose of this tool is to cleanup, correct and standardize addreses into a mailing format. While it mainly has been used for US addresses, formatting your list of addresses to a USPS format, it can be used for addresses in other countries as well.

Let me show you really quick how it works.

First let me tell you what you need for the tool.

You will need a working version of Excel. While I have had mixed luck with Mac computers, I currently only support this tool for Windows at this time. You can check the website for updates as I update the software with the latest news on that.

You will also need a google maps api key. The tool uses google maps to generate, correct and standardize addresses. I have instructions on how to get a google maps api key in the website as well. It is free to get and at this time you can run up 40,000 calculations free of charge every month.

So once you download the tool, you can open it, as you do any Excel spreadsheets. You will paste your list of addresses in the first column.

So what can the tool do?

Let’s say your list of addresses is not complete, maybe a zip code is missing or the name of the street or the extension is slightly off.

All you have to do is click on “Calculate” The tool will do the rest.

it will pick up from google and correct the address to the proper format of the address, filling in the missing info when needed and standardizing it in a format that you can use for your business neeeds. .

It will also display the address in 2 different formats, one with the address in one cell, and another where street, zip city and state are in separate cells so you can make use of the data that way. And it is easy as that.
