opening laps

The opening rounds of Red Pepper Racing GT3 Season 4 has seen some coming together of vehicles on lap 1. I looked into this last night and wanted to make sure there is not a drop in driving standards. I have added my review below but I am happy to say these were NOT "red mist" incidents but just little mistakes and a netcode (lag)

We at Red Pepper Racing take great pride on the fact we have only ever had ONE safetycar in all out GT3 Seasons and that was during season 3.


Here is my review (which is also agreed with by the other league Admin)

Philip Island– Racing incident.
Taital is on the inside and Neil out. Taits in the Gt40 applies a small amount of throttle mid corner (you can hear the small engine note change) and the car under steers so he lift back off but sadly collects Neil.
Pure racing incident, Taits did not floor the throttle, he was correct in trying to get the power down early.

Donington National - Netcode & Racing incident.
From the chase cam you can see the first hit between Rota and Josef is lag (netcode). The back end of Josef’s RUF kicks out and Rota is not touching him but the kick then make a solid contact between Rota and Josef.
The case cam shows there is a lot of room, the incar cam shows things look a lot tighter than they are but the netcode started this.
The next part is Rota trying to recover and he get tagged on the side by Taital. View from both cars inside show they were in each other’s blind spot. I run triples with a FOV of 119 degs and I could see the other car in my side monitor.

Donington GP – Racing incident.
Coming into the Melbourne Hairpin Stu totally misses his braking marker and collects Neil. Stu’s incar replay shows he noticed he has messed up and turn left to try to avoid the vehicles in front but must get a small touch on the back end of Neil’s RUF (not that you hear big contact). You can also see from the static cam the Black RUF has also missed his braking point.
