Part 3 Installation

Part 3: Drawer Installation
There are two segments to this episode. The first is the building of the structure that holds the drawers. There are three and each is in two parts (Left and Right). I get the third attempt correct and we build those with the aid of several spacer jigs. These are simple but very effective. We also install the drawer slides both on the lattice supports and the drawers themselves.

The second part includes the installation of the lattice work in the wall cavity. There is a sequence that must be adhered to in order to get all the pieces to fit. That and the shimming of the lattice to fit an unequal spacing of studs in the wall is discussed. The end result are nine drawers that are built into the unfinished wall. Although it is unfinished, the potential is plainly evident.

This sequence is not yet complete. There may be another pull out built and installed (I have a request for another pull out). The sequence is on hold for a bit. We have a contractor that has stared installation of a bathroom near the entrance of this room. That will take priority.

Please note that due to the contractor pulling a lot of my time and other issues ongoing, episodes are going to be less frequent. Note that as of this writing, the Vanity for the new bathroom is complete. I may tease it as a proto type… My hope is to finish this room this year so I can move onto shop and furniture projects
