Using the visual programming language - Pure Data - to build a Morse Code Practice Oscillator

Short video, to demo a simple sine wave synthesizer that is created inside PURE DATA(PD)...it is keyed by an Ultra PicoKeyer's KEY RIG output which then keys a 555 timer chip sidetone that is connected to the laptop's mic input jack....the 555 audio sidetone is then routed to the input of TRIGGER MIDI MONO(LV2) first, which analyzes the 555's sidetone volume, and when the volume goes above a threshold setting in TRIGGER MIDI MONO, it sends a midi "note on", "NOTE OFF" - output midi data message - to the Pure Data simple sine wave synthesizer midi input pins... which precisely clones the original cw elements from the Ultra PicoKeyer....the final stage of plugins to make this work and sound decent, is the Glame Bandpass Filter, which takes out the edge noise from the zero rise and fall times emanating from the PD sine wave output...

NOTE: the tutorial from the links above provided the basic step by step on how to use PD and make a simple synth...next learning curve would be learning the PD ASDR patch, PD bandpass filter patch, and a PD "audio to midi" patch....if PD is able to create patches for all of those....then PD would be able to do all of the tasks needed for CW REGENERATION, sidetone creation, and cw audio tone filtering...all in just one APP/plugin...

NOTE: on the SCOPE view, the GREEN WAVE at the top is the original 555 timer chip's sidetone after it passes through the MIC JACK INPUT....the RED WAVE is the PD sidetone with zero rise and zero fall time....the BLUE WAVE is the PD SIDETONE after GLAME AUDIO BANDPASS FILTER has smoothed out the edges and key clicks etc...
