Linux & Chromebooks: Installing Minecraft
This is another segment explaining how to setup and install anything and everything inside Linux(Crouton). Minecraft is one of, if not the most popular online game out today and has been over the past few years. This is a quick tutorial on how to install Minecraft on a Linux based PC, and that includes the Google Chromebooks running Crouton. This is the method that is recommended from the official website.

Next, go to the folder in which you downloaded the Minecraft.jar file and double click it(right click an make sure it is marked as "executable" first inside properties).

(Right click and open file with Java Runtime)
You will be greeted with a short installation process, you will log into your account or create a new one to continue. Users who have not purchased the official game will be allowed to play the demo for a short period of time, once you have purchased the game you will be allowed to then download the newest version.
It should be noted that you may have to turn down some of the video settings to get the smoothest gameplay as possible, also limit your plugin use as this too has been known to slow down gameplay.
***These videos will be based on the Intel processor, so for a few Chromebook(ARM) owners your device may not be compatible with every video that is in this series(Minecraft, Skype, etc...). Although you should be able to do just about 90% of them successfully.***
