Installation tutorial for the nvenc_export plugin - a third-party plugin for Adobe Premiere users with an NVidia Kepler GPU (GTX650 and better) nvenc_export is 'proof-of-concept' software that is not supported by either Adobe or NVidia. It works by offloading the video-encode portion of the export-job to your Nvidia GPU's built-in H264-encoder (NVENC.) If you've used the new "ShadowPlay" feature in GeforceExperience, then you've already had a taste of what NVENC can do. On most consumer-level PCs (i.e. not high-end multi-socket workstation), NVENC is much faster than Premiere's built-in Mainconcept encoder. Quality-wise, the two are similar at high bitrates; at low bitrates Mainconcept still produces better quality video. (Neither can compete with x264 in terms of compression efficiency.)
Requires Windows (64-bit) version of Premiere Elements 12. (The exporter also works with Premiere Pro CS6/Adobe Media Encoder CS6 and later) Also requires Dec/2013 Geforce drivers (or newer.)
This video shows you where to unzip the the nvenc_export ZIP file. Basically, drag and drop the folders "Plug-ins/" and "sharingcenter/" into your Premiere Elements installation_path.
