3.4. Roman Numerals - Python

Hello Everyone, hope you're all doing well. Ultimately a much more efficient way of solving this program will be to use a loop to go through a file, sequence structure, database etc containing the roman numerals, checking it against the user's input to find a match or not. We did not use a loop in this question because, as you may already be aware, we're solving questions from the book, Starting out with Python by Tony Gaddis and solving questions based on what we've learnt all the way up to the chapter we're currently on.

This program is a programming challenge at the end of chapter 3 and chapter 3 covers decision structures/if statements etc. Loops are covered in chapter 4 and that's why, loops were used in the chapter 4 programming challenges here, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGFLoZ9w5xCMCvDnylUHIG16hkt90F0sc

As we progress through the chapters, we learn more concepts and can use what we've learnt up to that current chapter to solve the programming challenges related to what we've learnt. We're limited to the things we've learnt up to the current chapter and that's why I used if statements.

4. Roman Numerals

Write a program that prompts the user to enter a number within the range of 1 through 10. The program should display the Roman numeral version of that number. If the number is outside the range of 1 through 10, the program should display an error message. The following table shows the Roman numerals for the numbers 1 through 10:
