Variables are the way in which Python users store data for using in their code; variables can store different types of data, hence their name 'variables' and can even store multiple pieces of data, like lists of numbers.

Think of a variable as a labeled box where you can store something valuable: a number, a piece of text, or even a list of things. Once you put something in this box, you can label it with a name so that you can find it easily later. Here's how it works:

Storing Data: When you create a variable, you're essentially telling the computer, "Hey, reserve a space for me to keep this important piece of information." For example, you can store the number 10 in a variable named age.

Retrieving Data: Once a variable is set up, you can use its name to get the data back whenever you need it.

Modifying Data: You can also change what's stored in a variable at any time, just like you can take something out of a box and put something else in it.

Multiple Data Types: Variables can hold different types of data. They can hold numbers, text (called "strings"), lists of things, and much more.

Using Them Together: Just like you might use multiple boxes to organize your belongings, you can use multiple variables to organize your data. You can even use variables together to perform operations.

Naming: Choose clear names for your variables, so you remember what you stored. Just like you'd label a box "Photos" instead of "Stuff," naming a variable user_age is more helpful than naming it x.
