How to Develop Java Android Biometric Application with DigitalPersona 4500 Scanner?

The sources for the Android biometric project, code, SQLite biometric database, and demonstration in Android Studio 3.4.2 are provided to build the Android biometric application that captures, records, and authenticates users' biometric fingerprint data using an external DigitalPersona 4500 USB fingerprint scanner.

This Android application is developed in Java using Android Studio 3.4.2. This video showcases the project source, code, SQLite biometric database, and a video demonstration featuring an external DigitalPersona 4500 biometric fingerprint scanner.

DEVICES AND HARDWARE:
1. Android-based mobile phone (the phone used here is a Sony Xperia C4).
2. Fingerprint scanner (I used a USB-based DigitalPersona 4500 fingerprint scanner).
3. OTG cable (to connect the USB-based fingerprint scanner and the Android mobile phone).

SOFTWARE:
1. Android Studio (AS) 3.4.2 IDE platform used for developing and building Android biometric applications.
2. SQLite 3.
3. The Android mobile phone Sony Xperia C4 runs on Android OS 6.
4. Jomutech Android biometric application (the application built using these project sources showcased in my Android Studio IDE).

HOW TO REGISTER USER BIOMETRIC DATA ON THE ANDROID PHONE USING THE EXTERNAL USB FINGERPRINT SCANNER:
1. Install the Jomutech Biometric Android application.
2. Connect the OTG cable to the Android phone.
3. Connect the DigitalPersona 4500 fingerprint scanner to the other end of the OTG cable.
4. Launch the Jomutech biometric application and register user details.
5. Tap the green start button to access the "Biometric Fingerprint Authentication" and "Biometric Fingerprint Registration" main panel.
6. Tap "Biometric Fingerprint Authentication" to open the biometric authentication activity and begin authenticating users.
7. That's it.

HOW TO AUTHENTICATE USER BIOMETRIC DATA ON THE ANDROID PHONE USING THE EXTERNAL USB FINGERPRINT SCANNER:
1. Install the Jomutech Biometric Android application.
2. Connect the OTG cable to the Android phone.
3. Connect the DigitalPersona 4500 fingerprint scanner to the other end of the OTG cable.
4. Launch the Jomutech biometric application and click the Start button.
5. In the Home Activity panel, click on "Biometric Fingerprint Authentication" to initiate user authentication.
