The goal of my Excel VBA tutorials are to take you from a beginner level to a confident Excel VBA developer and programmer as quickly as possible. The best way to do this is to help you UNDERSTAND Excel VBA code and how to build robust Excel spreadsheets.

When building functions in VBA you want to make sure then end user (often just using it from an Excel Spreadsheet) has the best user experience possible. On possible way to ensure this is to use a Function Wrapper. A Function Wrapper can check inputs to make sure they are valid, perform error handling in VBA and make sure any outputs or error messages sent to the user are sensible. A key goal is to avoid things like cryptic VBA code execution error messages!


In this free beginner level Excel tutorial we use Microsoft Excel 2016 and you will learn:
1. How to build a simple bare bones function in VBA to calculate the forward price of an asset (e.g. stock price);
2. How to use VBA to build a simple test harness subroutine - this checks the function is behaving like it should using a simple known example;
2. In addition to the VBA subroutine test harness we will build an Excel worksheet test harness;

The video uses Excel 2016 but the same steps are used for Excel 2010, Excel 2013 and equivalent versions of Microsoft Access.
