How to Create a Post using the WordPress Gutenberg Block Editor

WordPress makes it easy to create and edit page content using their block editor. The editor can be used to add text, images and other content suitable for your page or post.

1. To create a new page using the block editor for your website, go to the navigation menu, go to pages, and then click on “add new”. If you want to make a post do the same thing but instead go to post.

2. It should lead you to an empty page with a standard format.

3. The first task you should do is give your page a title where it says “Add title”

4. Once you have done that you can start designing your page. You can choose to start writing or add a block.

5. Let's start with the first option. What if you just start writing? When you do that, you automatically make a text block.

6. What are blocks? Blocks are a variety of elements that you can add to your page. Blocks are explained more in a different section.

7.Once you are done adding your content, there will be a bar that appears above where you were writing. This bar will allow you to edit your text. In this bar, you can align the text to the left, right, or center, you can also bold or italicize it, and you can turn it into a link.

8. To add a new block you can click the plus sign icon at the top left.

9. This will give you a variety of blocks to choose from. These different blocks are discussed in a different tutorial. For now we are just going to add another paragraph block.

10. Once you are done editing your page you can preview what it will look like by pressing the preview button. If you like what you see and are done editing, click the publish button next to the preview button. If for some reason you want to completely get rid of your page/post, click the move to trash button at the bottom of the page.
