React is an open source, front end, JavaScript library, for creating user interface or UI components and is also called React.js or React JS. Facebook and a group of developers and businesses are maintained. In developing single-page or smartphone apps, React may be used as a base. React only concerns the state control and rendering of that state to the DOM, however, so the development of reactions typically calls for the use of additional libraries and certain functions on the client side.

In this talk l cover the different ways React. js can be integrated into an existing PHP web application: from a client-side only approach to multiple techniques that support full server-side rendering with a Node. js server or PHP's v8js.

jQuery directly interacts with the DOM which results in a slightly lower performance than React. Traditional DOM amis also slower at providing updates. React uses virtual DOM for better speed, performance and user experience. jQuery is not suitable for large size applications.


Vanilla JS initially renders the UI anywhere from 5-10x faster than Preact, and about 30x faster than React! Handling UI state changes with vanilla JS is also orders of magnitude faster than using Preact or React.


If you already have some experience with JavaScript, all you need to learn before React is just the JavaScript features you will actually use to develop React application. Things about JavaScript you should be comfortable with before learning React are: ES6 classes.
