Amazon SCAMS - MUST SEE!
These Amazon scams are absolutely insane! Amazon scammers are going to extreme lengths to get ahead with their Amazon FBA businesses. In this video, I discuss two of the biggest Amazon scams that are still happening!
The first scam is called "brushing", this is where an unscrupulous Amazon seller sends a product to an unsuspecting customer's address. In most cases, the seller is setting up fake accounts but using real addresses. They then use these accounts to place orders for their products so it increases the sales velocity and therefore their ranking positions within the Amazon search results. They can also use these accounts to leave 5 star reviews which bring further benefit to the scammer.
The second scam involves using multiple Amazon seller accounts. The first account lists the product with a super low price point (too low to be legit), this leads to a massive increase in sales and improvement in ranks. The orders are never fulfilled or an alternative cheaper product is sent. Eventually, the seller is suspended or they remove themselves from the listing, however, the product listing (along with its boosted ranks) remains on Amazon. The seller then uses another account to list the product at full price and capitalise fully on the artificially high ranks.
