Castlevania Judgment -- Extra: All Hyper Attacks

If there's one kind of video I'd expect YouTube to have on the subject of Castlevania Judgment, one of the first would be a demonstration of these most stylish and repeated and unskippable animations... and indeed there are. Several, in fact. Just from a cursory and anything but exhaustive search. The problem is that they're all pretty... well, the ones I saw (not naming names or linking links, of course) were always "off" in one or more particular categories that would make me hesitant to click on them if I knew how they'd look.

A lot of this is due to the fact that the game isn't very popular, and that means the sample size of people who like it enough to upload bits of it to YouTube is pretty low... so by sheer force of numbers and harsh statistical likelihood, the odds of any particularly high-quality attempt materializing is already low. Add to that the fact that in just the past several years since Judgment came out, YouTube has undergone a ton of changes, not least significant of which is the actual quality of the uploads it accepts, the improvement of technology used to capture video, and thus the general quality levels of the videos people upload. Thus... uh... well... I won't say any more, because I'm not exactly living in a tower of peak video quality myself either, BUT... there's always room for improvement. You could always check out the other videos on the same subject if you're curious to see how far the times have come in such a short span of time.

More on the subject of the actual content being depicted, a lot of these videos are either incomplete or in total disarray to the point that I have no idea what compositional guidelines they were following... but the key things I looked for were as follows:
-They're all there
-The lead-in attack is present and can be properly observed
-The post-cinematic moments are retained
-They're in some sort of logical order

First and foremost, it's surprising to me that it's not always a given that a single-subject video like this can be missing some of its contents... most often, this is in the form of not presenting all of Aeon's variations on his Requiem of the 13th Hour, because while it looks the same... he tailors his smugness to each potential target, including himself! As you can imagine, his Hyper Attack being rather long itself, this makes this video more than half Aeon-centric, but it is a necessary measure in order for it to fulfill its purpose appropriately.

As for the parts of the attack which are not necessarily part of the autopilot, they include some vital pieces of the "conversation" of the attack, as it wouldn't make quite as much sense if Death isn't commanding his "fallen ones" to "seize them." Many a character gets carried away with their flair for the dramatic declaration of their success and victims are wont to express their distress especially emphatically at the end.

Besides that, these attacks don't just happen by magic... you need to see them used such that their whole range can be apparent for it to be a proper demonstration. Of course, these are all still quite obviously staged in Training... BUT, if you wanted to see any of these come up in actual combat situations, there's always the individual character coverage videos. You know... hint-hint, nudge-nudge, whip-whip?

And then the ordering... well, it's still kinda arbitrary and a small nit to pick, but it DOES work wonders for actually finding the one you were perhaps more interested in than the others.
