Setup exchange email on android

Here is a quick tutorial to setup your Exchange Email account on your Android phone.

Hello and welcome to the Braintek video tutorials. My name is Greg, owner of Braintek. Today, I’m going to show you how to add your exchange email onto your Android phone. So here, I’ve got a Samsung device. We’re going to go over here to ‘Apps.’ Look for ‘Email’ on the list. And if you don’t have an account, it’ll bring you right up to here. So we can just go ahead and add our Exchange account. Go ahead and type in your email address. Type in your password. Click ‘Next.’ Here, we’re going to choose a type. We’re going to choose ‘Microsoft Exchange.’ It’s going to look for some settings and if it can’t find it, we’re going to have to populate some additional settings here. We’re just going to wait and see how this looks. Security warning. So, the site name doesn’t match. That’s okay. We’re going to click ‘Continue.’ Unable to set up the account. So that means we just need to add some additional settings, so make sure that you have these settings ahead of time. So you’re going to need your Domain – this is going to be the network domain that you would use at your office. You need to know the server address – this would be the outside address. That’s the only two settings we’re going to change here. We’re going to leave everything else. If everything is correct, it should continue. So it says “Remote security.” If your server has this then that’s okay, click ‘Okay.’ Here, it’s going to ask us for some settings on how long we want to sync – so we can do 3 days – push-push is all fine, what it’s going to retrieve, how often it’s going to sync your calendar, do you want it to sync your email contacts, calendar, tasks, sync text messages. So I’m just going to leave all of the defaults here. We’re going to click ‘Next.’ Here it’s says the server is going to have some abilities. You can review that. We’re just going to click ‘Activate.’ Here, we’re going to give it some kind of name so if you’ve got multiple email accounts, you can decide which way you’d like it to be set. We’re going to click ‘Done.’ Here, it brings us to the mail box so we’ll just go ahead and compose a new message. We’re just going to send it to ourselves. We’re going to send it. And there it is.
