Java Desktop App - Estimate Builder UI/UX Improvements & Pricing Updates
A few updates on the Java/JavaFX desktop application I've been working on as a side project. I have yet to post the code to any public repositories but plan on doing so when I have a fully working demo.
This particular video highlights several new updates to the New Estimate PDF builder. I transitioned everything to a three-step process to better reflect what the actual PDF looks like (which I have completed the code for and can upload a sample if anyone is curious). Step 1 is personal information*, and the core details of the estimate including pricing and adjustments. Step 2 contains the contract(s) where everything is pre-filled so you can skip right past this if you do not want to use a contract or want to use a default contract. You can click the edit button which turns it into a scrollable text field. I removed the HTML editor for UX purposes . Step 3 is the photos and attachments (or page 3 of the estimate (if you include the terms and agreement page)).
