Protractor Beginner Tutorial 13 | How to upload project on Git (version control)

Today we will learn:
1. How to add an existing vs code project to git and GitHub
2. How to do commit and push whenever changes happen
3. How to clone from GitHub to vs code
4. How to remove the project from git

Step 1: Check if git is installed on your system
git --version

Step 2: Install git on your system
https://git-scm.com/download/

Step 3: Go to https://github.com/ and signup & login

Step 4: Create a new repository on GitHub

Step 5: Goto VS Code and goto settings
Check for git path & git enabled options

Step 6: Goto version control section and initialize git repository

Step 7: Commit changes to git

Step 8: Add remote repository url

Note: If prompted add username and email

1. Set your username:git config --global user.name “Raghav-Pal”
2. Set your email address:git config --global user.email “[email protected]”

Step 9: Push changes to GitHub

Step 10: Whenever you make changes, commit and push
