Animated Action Bar in NativeScript Tutorial
In this NativeScript Tutorial, I show you how to create a clone of the twitter timeline action bar - a request I've had many times.
NativeScript provides a pretty powerful animation API, but the question is: how do we leverage this API and create smooth, unobtrusive, micro-interactions, that are triggered by all the gestures that we can use on a device?
It’s this gestures/animations interaction that’s often not easy to combine. This tutorial will go into some of those intricacies. We'll use JavaScript based synchronous animation techniques as well as asynchronous NativeScript animation APIs. We'll also use 2 different gestures: pan and swipe, and we'll test the animation out in iOS and Android to make sure we have cross-platform compatibility.
