Attachment Style Relationship Dynamics

Attachment Theory is a way of understanding how our relationships with our caregivers growing up shaped how we will approach future relationships. In this video I give a brief overview of the attachment styles (particularly Avoidant, Anxious and Disorganized), talk about some of their differences in communication and conflict patterns, and offer some invitations to each attachment style for future growth and healing. Even though most (all?) of us will come out of childhood with at least somewhat of an Insecure attachment style it is never too late to do the hard work of healing those wounds and growing into a more Secure Attachment in adulthood.
