If the console doesn't light up or is unreadable, replace it using the steps in this video. Remove the mounting screws from the bottom of the console. Pull the console up and disconnect the wires. Remove the battery cover from the new console. Insert new batteries into the console. Reinstall the battery cover. Connect the wires to the new console. Position the console on the upright and install the mounting screws.
