WeaponizedChess on Android

WeaponizedChess is now available from Google Play Store in 2 versions: a free, restricted version and a paid, unrestricted version. Both of these versions are designed to run on low-end, low-cost cellphones and tablets which do not have a WiFi capability and do not have much memory. You do need to have Jelly Bean (4.2x) or higher. Normally you would use a touchscreen to help control the game but there is a way provided to control the game such that you do not need to use a touchscreen. Both versions have been hardware tested on Nexus 7, 9 and 10 tablets and has been emulator tested to install and run on Nexus 5, 4, S, One, and Android Wear (Round and Square).

The bad news is that neither of these versions has an AI. They will not play a game with you. Instead you use the mobile device to play a game with another human who is in the same physical room with you. You share the device, you hand it back and forth. A future version of the game will allow players to use WiFi to play the game using 2 mobile devices. Each person would use their own device in that version. That version is not available for sale. The most accurate image you can see of the Android version of the game board are the still images you see on the Google Game Play webpage for the game. This video of the Android version is somewhat degraded in comparison to the visually-more-accurate still images.
