In this video I'll review how you can use the SUMIFS formula and function with the help of data validation drop down lists to generate and find information from a data set. This comes in handy will building dashboards in Excel. I looking at how to use the SUMIFS formula with multiple conditions or using the sumif based on two criteria.

In this video I show you how you can create and use the data validation drop down lists so that when the user selects multiple conditions or uses multiple criteria we can perform the sum formula to get the results based on the selection. I use the month/year selection for the date selection and then I use the item number as a secondary lookup item.
