Incorrect view count for channels
Since January 14, 2017, you may have seen inflated total channel view counts reported on your channel and by third-party services that report view counts. This issue is fixed and all view counts that display on your channel and YTA are now fixed. You may have seen the total view count numbers for your channel go down.

This issue DID NOT impact:

Revenue or reports
Subscriber counts on your watch page and channel page
Video view counts below the player on video watch pages
This issue DID impact:

Publicly visible:
Total number of lifetime channel views listed on your channel's "About" page (this shows views for all your public videos)
Playlist view counts on Playlist pages
Channel view count reported by any third-party services that use data from the YouTube data API

Visible to creators:
Your channel's lifetime views and watch time in the YouTube Analytics Watch time report

Subscriber counts
The number of users subscribed to your YouTube channel is a metric that reflects how many people are following your channel. It’s important that these numbers stay meaningful to ensure that, when your sub count grows, it’s because you’re building a community of real fans who will keep watching and supporting you.

Removing spammy subscribers
We regularly verify the legitimacy of the accounts that are subscribed to your YouTube channel. This is part of a process to ensure that our site metrics are free of spam and abuse and to keep YouTube a fair playing field for everyone.

Suspended accounts and subscribers that are identified as spam will not count toward your total number of subscribers and won't show in your subscriber list. These are not active viewers, so their removal shouldn’t impact your views or watch time.

These users will not be unsubscribed from your channel. To the user, it will still appear that they're subscribed, and they'll continue to receive your videos in their Subscriptions feed.

Using third-party services
Services that attempt to boost YouTube subscriber numbers through automated means or via a marketplace violate our Terms of Service, such as:

Purchasing subscribers from third-party websites
"Sub4sub" exchanges and services from third-party websites that subscribe you to multiple channels which then subscribe to you back
Changes to subscriber count

Account terminations
Users whose accounts have been terminated are prohibited from accessing, possessing or creating any other YouTube accounts. When an account is terminated, the account owner will receive an email detailing the reason for the suspension.
Community Guidelines terminations
Reasons accounts are terminated:

Repeated violations of the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service
A single case of severe abuse (such as predatory behavior or spam)
Accounts dedicated to a policy violation (hate speech, harassment, impersonation, etc)
If you feel that your account has been suspended in error you may appeal the suspension by visiting the following form.

Copyright terminations
If your account was terminated due to claims of copyright infringement and you believe the copyright claims against your account are improper or invalid, you may file a DMCA counter-notification. This process is still available for terminated users - access to your account is not necessary.
