[Prerequisites]

You must have Android 12 installed on your Orange Pi 5 SBC.

[Synopsis]

In this video, I show the viewer on how to enable Google Play Store on Android 12 O.S. on a Orange Pi 5 single board computer. A Orange Pi 5 SBC is not an Android phone, but you can register your Orange Pi 5 SBC as a device that will enable you to use Google Play Store.

The Google Play Store is one of the biggest app stores in the world, so you can find just about any program for any Android device whether that be a smartphone, or a single board computer like this.

[Procedure]

1. Go into settings and go to "About Tablet" -] "Build Number" left click about 6 times.
2. Download and Install Magisk Manager app for Android O.S..
3. Download Magisk GAPP-a12Basic.bin file
4. Reboot the Android Operating System.
5. Open Magisk Manager, and click install on the right side of the screen. O.S. will reboot.
6. Go to file manager, go to downloads, select the Magisk GAPPs-a.bin, and rename it to
Magisk GAPPs.zip .
7. Start the Magisk Manager app, and click on modules.
8. Select the Magisk GAPPs.zip file and add it to modules. O.S. will reboot.
9. Go to programs. You will see a notification called, "This device isn't Play Protected certified".
Click on that message.
10. Click on "learn more".
11. Scroll down on the page, and click on "Device isn't certified".
12. Scroll down on the next page, and click on "register your device".
13. Sign into your Google account.
14. You need to find the Google Services Framework Android ID.
15. Start your internet browser, and search APKPure.
16. Go to the APKPure website, and search Device ID App. Select the CodeKiemCom version.
17 Download and install Device ID App.
18. Start the Device ID App, and you will get your hexadecimal code for your device.
19. Now, you have to convert this hexadecimal code to a decimal number.
20. Go back to your internet browser, and search "hexadecimal to decimal converter".
21. When you find a website that has a hexadecimal to decimal converter, paste the
hexadecimal code and convert it to a decimal number.
22. Go back to device registration, and paste the decimal number in the
Google Services Framework Android ID bar.
23. Registration will take about 20 to 40 minutes. Then, you should be able to use the Google Play
Store and get apps from it when you sign in with your Google account.
