Qcad architecture software tutorial

This is a full Qcad architecture tutorial. It uses the free Qcad computer aided drafting program download. I tried to present it in an easy way showing some advantages and easy to use tools. I start with an overview then show how to download it and turn it into the free version. I show the settings necessary for Architecture and imperial foot and inches vs metric use. Then a few tools necessary to create a floor plan in the easiest way. I show dimensioning as well as using the library to drop in doors and sinks. In the end I show where to get or design your own library components to make drawings more complete.

In high school I lived in the architecture class it was my life yet I failed to pursue it as an adult. Later I did a little construction and some of my own and friends remodels. When it came to make city permits I would do old school drafting like I knew. Even in woodworking as I used graph paper I always wished I knew cad and could get more detail. learning Cad and using it for city permits or even the ability to make more detailed woodworking plans will definitely pay me in the end. Update:8/23/23 The library where we drop doors and other objects from has been removed it is now only in the paid version if you need this functionality you'll need to buy the pro version at current time its 44.00 us so is still a good value.
