This is an introductory tutorial on Bootstrap responsiveness - a pathway to make mobile friendly and responsive sites. In this video, we have analyzed the limitations of sites which was built without frame work . In the previous cases, we used to take a wrapper of 1000px assuming the lowest device-width to be at a dimension of 1024px X 768px. This narrowed the dimensions for desktops, on the other hand, with extensive and enhanced usage of mobile devices, soon it turned out to be a problem.
To remove this limit, everything was started with a 100% wrapper. But it had limitations too. In case of larger devices, the contents started to stretch, but in case of smaller devices, the contents got squeezed. Moreover, they seem to overlap with each other and seemed to be distorted in display the way it should have been. Pretty soon, it popped out with many shortcomings.
Then comes the Grid system frame work that includes both the percentage and grids. The whole device width is sub-divided further into 12 grids. For larger dimensions, they will remain horizontal. For smaller dimensions, they will vertically stack on each other. We will learn about it soon in this tutorial series. Until then, Enjoy Learning.
