Well, I gave up on Frostbolt Arcanist Brands and Ice Nova. I was a little ways into re-tuning it for Archmage and Unleash because standing still casting that blinding skill was a death sentence, but I wasn't satisfied with where it ended up gameplay wise and it was getting away from what I want to do in Harvest. So, I figured since I'm already doing conversion from Cold to Fire, why not go Phys to Light to Cold to Fire! Penance Brand and Orb of Storms are doing GREAT for me and feel really strong. Take a look at how it plays for a short video of dealing with a Legion encounter on a T15 map that corrupted to Unid and 131%q. I will upload more in depth gameplay (a full map, a long delve, a conq battle or something) and a PoB tonight. Penance Brand works a ton of different ways - in the channel I frequent, I talked with a player using full chaos conversion and they also are having great results. I am using Avatar of Fire to go pure fire damage and simplify the conversion process somewhat, but another channel regular is doing a Penance build without Avatar of Fire at all that still does comparable damage and manages to add chilling and freezing to the mix, with an extra herald. I'm getting my results using just two 50% auras (Hatred, Anger) and Herald of Ash, whereas they are using 3 50% auras and two heralds. This is another cool league for coming up with your own take on a build. The harvest crafting has been so helpful! I've been able to make stuff that I certainly could not have afforded to buy but that are perfect for what I'm doing here. Loving the league mechanic, it's another I will miss when it's not everywhere.
