My Abstract of the Article “The Effects of 528Hz Sound Waves to Reduce Cell Death in Human Astrocyte Primary Cell Cultures Treated with Ethanol”

In Introduction was mentioned:
Experimental studies have shown the structural and functional changes in neurons and astrocytes with chronic alcohol consumption. Alcohol affects CNS cells in many ways such as disordering synaptic plasticity, impairing astrocyte cells, etc.
Recent studies indicated that besides auditory cells, other cells respond to audible sound waves, so sound waves can cause positive or negative changes in cell biology.
528Hz, known as a MI or Miracle Tone could activate DNA repair by refreshing “structured water” within the genome. At 528Hz frequency, water molecules in DNA’s matrix shape six-sided (hexagonal) structures.
Based on aforementioned information authors conducted their own research in order to investigate Ethanol and 528Hz sound impacts on human astrocyte cell cultures.
Materials and Method
Fetal human astrocytes were obtained from some Lab of Tehran, and than researchers applied some manipulations to make them reach to their (astrocytes) proper condition. * Too long explanation and many specific chemical terms of the article been missed intentionally *
After that, cell cultures:
- received 25mM – 500mM concentration of Ethanol
- cells were exposed to 528Hz sound wave produced by 4 stereo-speakers
-other 2 methods were more like to investigate a placebo effect (don’t think it is really important)
Here some significant Results:
1. Cells viability using:
- control group (no treatment) – 100%
- 150nM ethanol – about 50%
- 100nM ethanol + 80 dB 528Hz sound – about 70%
- 150nM ethanol + 100 dB 528Hz sound – about 56%
- 150nM ethanol + 120 dB 528Hz sound – about 32%
2. LDH release (demonstrates apoptosis in cell culture):
- control group (no treatment) – about 2%
- 10% ethanol – about 50%
- 10% ethanol + 80 dB 528Hz sound – about 32%
- 10% ethanol + 100 dB 528Hz sound – about 40%
- 10% ethanol + 120 dB 528Hz sound – about 68%
3. ROS (Oxidative damage) production:
Sadly a figure in the article was too blurred but here the authors explanation “ROS productions in cell culture not receiving 528Hz sound, receiving ethanol however, significantly increased. Cells treated with 528Hz after ethanol exposure showed a reduction of the ROS production.”
Conclusion
This study proves that some of the negative effects of alcohol on the CNS may be attenuated by certain sound waves and their impact on astrocytes. The protective impact of 528Hz at 80dB served to reduce cell death by approximately 20%, and ROS by 100%.
