CP Plus, IMOU, QuBo. Which wifi CCTV camera to buy. Advantage / Disadvantages.
Three wifi CCTV cameras from CP Plus, Imou and Qubo within the price point of Rs 3,000 has been tested and pros and cons explained hardware wise.
CP plus : Only pictures are taken when person is detected no video recorded.
There is no alarm system of any kind.
ImOu : Pictures & video taken on human detection but only images can be seen for video one have to pay a monthly fee of around Rs 350. No alarm.
QuBo : Picture & short video taken on human detection and both are viewable free of charge. Alarm available. Self sounding or button press activation depending on the model.
PS. If memory card used contineous recording would be available to access. Only for online cloud storage and retrieval money is involved.
Software wise all works fine at similar level.
But recording and viewing wise there is a catch for cloud storage for motion detection activated video recording feed access. While CP Plus offer no such short video recording, Imou & Qubo does. However one has to pay to watch these cloud video recordings in ImOu, in Qubo it's free.
So i would never ever purchase an ImOu camera again where you have to pay your whole life a hefty amount every month to have access to motion detected video recording.
Installation wise CP Plus is most user friendly as it comes with a sort of camera mount which is large enough to be tied into any type of available place be it pipe, rod, wooden poll etcetc.
Imou and Qubo can be installed easily only on walls and even surface that can be drilled and nailed.
Design wise I hate Qubo but if I look at the product features, have to agree that among all Qubo gives the best performance.
