How I clean my laminate flooring without the use of any chemicals: Norwex Mop System

With 1000 square feet of laminate flooring in our home – cleaning our floors is no light task around here. In fact, I’ve invested lots of time and money to finding the perfect system to clean our flooring, and I’m confident I’ve finally found the perfect method for myself and for my little helpers.

Because of some of our families sensitivities, I’ve made it a priority to find a way to clean our home with no or as little chemicals as possible. The Norwex Mop System allows me to clean and shine up our floors, without the fear of damaging them with too much moisture – and it does an A-MAZ-ING job of it! I can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am to discover this product.

CHALLENGES TO CLEANING WOOD OR LAMINATE FLOORING
If you have wood or laminate flooring, you are probably aware that too much moisture or sitting liquid can damage your flooring over time. So what do we do? We head to the store and buy a product that says, “for wood or laminate flooring”. I see 3 problems with that.

1 – You will now have to regularly go to the store to purchase a product to clean your floors, and that is no fun.

2 – Did you know that chemicals will actually leave a film over our surfaces? Whether or not you can see or feel them, they are there, and will actually attract more dirt and debris on our surfaces, requiring you to need to clean more frequently. This is great job security for those companies who create these products.

3 – Our flooring can be a playground for our children. It’s important for me to keep the place where my family crawls and plays around safe. Chemicals may have many side effects, which for our family can be itchiness, headaches, skin irritations, and upset of allergies.

Addressing all those challenges, I was thrilled to discover the Norwex Mop System.

THE NORWEX MOP SYSTEM
This mop system comes with an adjustable mop base, great for floors, walls, ceilings, and to adjust to child size heights.

The yellow microfiber dry mop pad does an amazing job at picking up dirt and debris you didn’t even know where there. Easily reach corners and sweep large particles into one spot to pick up with a dustpan or a Norwex Microfiber envirocloth.

Once soiled, you can use the Norwex rubber brush to wipe off the dirt and use again and again until laundering.

The blue wet pad is lightly moistened with water and rung tightly. This method will wash and clean your floors, leaving them to dry completely in 30-60 seconds, which is ideal for wood or laminate flooring.

I am able to do my entire kitchen area before I have to rinse again to do my living room. If you feel a little more water is needed, you can lightly spritz with a water bottle.
