HILTON WAIKOLOA VILLAGE TOUR of Hotel Room, Resort, Pool, and Coastline. Stop in Kailua-Kona for some window shopping and strolling around town before heading home. BIG ISLAND HAWAII TRIP SERIES...Episode 6 (Final Episode) It is literally our last hours on the island. We take a quick tour of our hotel room and the resort centering more on the Makai Tower. It's then off to view the pool area. The kids hit the lagoon in the morning while me and Caleb tour the hotel. It's then off to the Queen's Marketplace for some brunch at the Island Gourmet Marketplace, which surprisingly has a lot of hot and cold foods from which to choose. To offset the amount of time left before our flight, we head in Kailua-Kona for some shopping and desserts, since we hadn't really taken any time in the Kona shops. Thankfully to help us in the last 4 hours before our flight, our Hawaiian family friends took us all in and fed us a wonderful homemade Hawaiian meal, which was delicious with some fun games afterwards. Thank you to our Hawaiian friends for letting us crash for a bit. You made the end of our trip very memorable. It's then off on our red-eye flight back to Los Angeles and home.
