UPDATE: I just realized that "Old Charming" said: "This sword banished you once before, let's do it again," implying that it was not the red jewelled sword... But then again, that doesn't mean that the red jewelled sword didn't have ANY influence.

MORE EVIDENCE: In the most recent episode, they revealed that "Pixie Flowers" (which contain pixie dust), only crop up in the presence of great evil. Examples include during the dark curse, when the darkness spawned a pixie flower. Another example is when the Black Fairy comes to Storybrooke... But the mind blowing thing is... These things are native to NEVERLAND. And they were there long before Peter Pan... Implying that a great evil MUST be lurking over the island... THE BLACK FAIRY. I could also go on about how... Well... The Black Fairy's magic colour is always BLACK, and the only other time we see magic with that colour, is when Peter Pan turns back into an adult as he is dying... BLACK FAIRY. ALSO!!! Notice how Wendy Darling's brothers (during the first dark curse) attempt to adopt Henry, when Regina gives him up temporarily as a baby. This means that Pan is sending them orders DURING the first curse. This makes no sense. All of the lands except the one without magic, were completely frozen for 28 years in time. This is why Zelena did not age in Oz, Cora's bubble kept people frozen in time, Wonderland, etc. But Neverland seemed to have avoided this, if Pan was sending out orders... And how on Earth can something evade the dark curse? It can only be protected by someone who has direct ties to it... Or in other words... The Black Fairy. ALSO ALSO... The sheer fact that they just brought in Tiger Lily, AND made her an ex-fairy, JUST like Tinkerbell, FURTHER pushes my theory of Neverland being tied to fairies.
