In this Dazed and Confused guitar lesson video series, I will show you how to play this Led Zeppelin classic note-for-note.

We will be in standard tuning with this one, but you will hear what sounds like some higher pitched guitar lines being played.

Those parts are coming from either and octave fuzz pedal or doubled guitar tracks. In any case, we will be learning it the way Jimmy Page usually played it live by playing the lower harmony part.

There are some very cool and challenging riffs in "Dazed and Confused". The slow main riff requires excellent intonation in order to get all of those half step bends in tune while also adding lots of vibrato to them. I will do my best to break them all down for you. I will also cover a lot of what is going on during the interlude section, minus the bowed parts.

In the second video lesson, I will show you Jimmy Page's very intense guitar solo. As with a lot of Jimmy Page's solos, there are some really cool flashy licks along with some more erratic playing.

When Jimmy Page did this "of the cuff" type of soloing, it can be difficult too nail each note down since he would never play it the same way anyway.

"Dazed and Confused" is a great study in musical dynamics with the way Led Zeppelin continually brings the momentum of the music up and down. It is also a lot of fun to play so I hope everyone enjoys it!
